manifold learning

Many people said manifold learning is dying because of no real applications. 

I don't know it's 100% real or not. I just believe next trend of challenge of data science is to understand why many things in low dimensional doesn't make much sense in high dimensions. 

I think manifold or the method of bridging high dim and low dim will be a big deal for all of science. 

Maybe we can look something on that?
