The message to all of my student before the final

Dear All,

Glad to meet some of your guys at the office hour today!

And I am so happy and proud to be the GSI for you in this wonderful semester and work with Howard. It's my favorite  teaching semester!  Thanks for all the support and all the joys we share together within this Stat 2 journey.

Hope all of you have a nice review week and final week. And good luck with final.

Just a few kind tips for your review and final:

1. scan the summary of each chapter of the book quickly and try to find the topic you are not familiar but important, then focus more on that.

2. Learn from the mistakes you have ever make before --- quiz, homework and Midterms.

3. Look into the notes of the important topics such as the 4 groups of Expected Value and their Standard Error we have learnt this semester.  Probability And rule , OR rule, Complemental rule etc.

4. Summarize into the A4 paper you can bring in carefully, and make sure you understand what you are writing. NOT just remember the formulas.

5. Practice is always the key to conquer the fear of exam. And it's the best way to help you understand the material. Keep discussing with good friends in the class if you get confused.

6. Keep calm in the exam. If there is any problem you get stuck, it might also be hard to others. Don't blame yourself but focus on more on the progress you can make. And try to keep your answer clear and well written. And Never never surrender before the deadline of the exam. Fight to the end like a soldier!

7. Study hard and study smart. Don't study overnight just before the exam. Stay in a good shape is more important than just comfort yourself by read more things before the battle.

8. Be happy with what you paid and what you gained from the course and persuade yourself to try your best instead of thinking about any results.

Last one:   Live long and prosper! Always love yourself more than what we can see!

:-)

Best
HW
